Women’s shopping has always been all about timing and selection. One could often wait for the discount season to acquire all kinds of clothes notably the ones which probably were not used pretty regularly like gowns and woollens. I was a teenager in the seventies and have pretty fond memories of that decade.
Somewhere in our back minds we file away Winter memories of Discontent, the strikes and standpipes in street throughout the drought.
Bold bright colours, psychedelic patterns, PVC boots, literally staggeringly big platforms -and that was for the men! Nobody could ever call the 70s dull, particularly when it came to fashion, whether you solidary with that sentiment. We remember for ages quite hot summer of 1976, disco dancing to big music and Starsky and Hutch on the telly., no doubt, if the item you are searching has always been a pair of original Falmer flared jeans, whatever 70s fancy dress item you are looking for, one of these places has been bound to have it, a pair of blackish PVC boots or a Starsky cardigan.
While fancy dress shops selling and hiring all manner of 70s fancy dress items, seventies revival has seen a big increase in vintage popularity clothing boutiques.
The 70s are on occasion referred to as decade that taste forgot.
In latter years, there was something of a revival of the 70s fashions and we have begun talking nostalgically about that decade. Notice, quite warm pants were quite well-known in the late seventies and are mostly worn to 70s fancy dress parties. Ok, and now one of the most significant parts. Cheesecloth shirts and blouses were big for people who hated ironing. We are talking about just a fashion few items from 1970s and will hopefully give you some inspiration for your own 70s fancy dress party.
Now it’s better if you wear this to a winter 70s fancy dress party as so that’s incredibly quite warm to wear and pretty heavy.
