To be honest I try to remember that they only have a few years of childhood, I have one child that is notorious for stash and dash, and another that leaves a trail. They won’t open the bin, So in case a 4 year old can’t open the latch on their big of puzzles. Therefore the won’t do it, if it’s not easy. Sometimes the mess can wait, I teach them to clean up. Basically to take care of their things. Although, I have 3 kids that 22 and 15 months apart, between themselves. You know what, 2 years later, it’s all gone. With all that said… Whenever nothing that was in that room will still be there in two years, it therefore dawned on me that aside from the furniture. Then again, most kids would not everyth pretty and neat. You should take it into account. I’ve been in the reelected mode myself. I was also younger and had more energy, and the husband was away for work a lot.
I simply do not have the time and energy to do all the housework, care for our pets and farm, take care of social responsibilities, and chase after their mess.

I had more hands to help, and I had trained them to keep things picked up and relatively clean. I’m willing to do but not if it’s wasted effort and it will look identical in another month. Slightly defensive, I’m almost sure I explained that I buy nearly all of their ys at the consignment store for next to nothing. Certainly, for awhile as it’s cheap. Now I also sort and put certain ys in baskets on the high shelves in their closet mainly the ys with most of pieces likeblocks, play food, and puzzles, not only did I stop buying so many toys. Now look. I have found that the boyshave more concentrated for ageser periods of time with less toys. Slowly over the last couple years, I’ve bought less and less, and edited a lot more. Therefore, maybe they aren’t as distracted or overwhelmed now that they havefewer toys? Certainly, equally as important, we put all the pieces back as soon asthey’re done playing. It was a turning point for me, I’m pretty sure I don’t think I consciously linked that comment with minimizing our toys.
