I loved my dress but the overall look was just ok. I had my hair done professionally in a French Twist, that was very harsh looking.
It was blackish and glittery. I wasn’t thrilled with any of it. My grandmother suggested I look at patterns and she and my mom make my dress. My mom made the dress and a matching wrap. Accordingly the original dress was in grey but being that I had worn grey the year before, Know what, I wanted something different so we went with a pretty fuchsia color. I did my own hair in a semifrench twist and got myself a nice tanning bed tan. I wish I had gone with a dress that was more flowing. Certainly, I lucked out and found the pattern for similar dress I wanted! Still felt like the look was somewhat harsh and just not what I really wanted, I’m almost sure I loved it and LOVED that my mom had made it for me. Actually a pretty gown. For Clay’ prom, By the way I found a dress at a thrift store that I loved but it wasn’t in my size.
